What you’ll find there…

Little woodland nature reserve beside the Hoe Stream in Woking. It makes a pleasant walk, especially in spring when the woods are alive with birdsong. It’s a Local Nature Reserve, featuring Alder woodland.

To combine with a stroll along the Hoe Stream, we recommend parking at Woking Leisure Centre in the area marked “Additional parking for public use”, open 6am till 6pm (height restriction 2.1m). From here, walk around the car park building to the Hoe Stream. A pleasant 15 minute stroll along the Hoe Stream, around the Old Woking Cricket Club, and continuing along the stream, brings you to a wooden footbridge that takes you into the nature reserve. Take the circular path around the reserve in either direction, then retrace your steps along the Hoe Stream for a 2.7km out and back route. Note that there are two stiles at Old Woking Cricket Club on this route. Can be muddy after wet weather.
