Wildfire Roadshow @ Farnham

FIRE ENGINES!

IMPORTANT UPDATE 24th JULY 12:00: Unfortunately Farnham Fire & Rescue Service have not been able to attend due an emergency at Farnborough Airport.

Meet the folk that fight the fires! Clamber into the cab* of a fire engine or take a closer look at one of the off-road vehicles Surrey Fire & Rescue Service use locally (subject to availability). Come and meet the crews and see what new technology they’re using to fight and investigate wildfires.

A representative of the Ministry of Defence will also be on hand to answer your questions.

*Covid-precautions permitting

FIND US: We’ll be set up near the viewpoint at Caesar’s Camp near Farnham. See map. Grid ref SU 83724 50235. Pedestrian entrances off Odiham Road (opposite the Shell garage), off Sandy Hill Road and the military drop-off point on Bourley Road.

FREE. Suitable for all, especially families with school age children. Drop-in anytime between 11am and 2pm. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.

NO BOOKING REQUIRED!

Please note that Thames Basin Heaths Partnership staff are not permitted to administer first aid due to COVID-19 protocols. Should an emergency arise, we will call the emergency services.
