Where you’ll find it…
N.B. We’ve given the nearest postcode, but recommend using the links to look up the exact location. The centre of a postcode may be up to half a mile from your destination.
What you’ll find there…
Well marked circular walk through quiet woodland, well away from busy roads. The walk is part of the Mindenhurst housing development at Deepcut, created on land that was military barracks until 2013. Nearby you’ll find the listed garrison church, now St Barbara’s Community Church.
Dog walkers with pets sensitive to noise should be aware that MOD training is still carried out on adjacent land and there’s occasional firing. There’s also a clay pigeon shoot nearby at weekends.
Update: When we visited at the end of November, part of the route was closed and so was the car park, but we hope these will be open soon. It appears that parts of the route may evolve and link to other green areas as the housing development progresses.
