What you’ll find there…

An ideal local walk for the Mytchett community, this attractive lakeside has been incorporated into the Water’s Edge housing development. There’s a circular walk around the lake on gravel paths, but be sure to explore the adjacent meadows too. The meadows have been provided for everyone to enjoy and a mown path links up with the lakeside route.

It’s sad to hear that the local community at this lovely place have been experiencing anti-social behaviour. They ask respectfully that visitors don’t bring alcohol and put all their litter in the bins provided. Dog walkers are asked to keep their pets on leads around the lake and to pickup after them. No fishing allowed. The development is part of the Surrey Heath Neighbourhood Watch Area and an Automatic Number Plate Recognition system is in place.

There are plans to include a link to the Blackwater Valley Path in the future.

Note: Dog walkers should note that signs say “Dogs should be kept on a lead” around the lake. The banks of the lake are thickly vegetated, but as one of the photos shows, it’s possible to find a spot for a drink.
