Where you’ll find it…

Find the free car park on Weller’s Lane, Warfield, nearest postcode RG42 6EN. Grid reference SU 87303 72602. What3Words: blues.flies.alert. The car park is open everyday, closed overnight.

N.B. We’ve given the nearest postcode, but recommend using the links to look up the exact location. The centre of a postcode may be up to half a mile from your destination.

What you’ll find there…

What a lovely, tranquil place for a walk! We’re always delighted to visit the peaceful meadows of Frost Folly. An extension to the original park opened in June 2023, doubling the size of the meadows and adding two more ponds. With lovely views towards Warfield Church and the surrounding countryside, and a well-surfaced path, we’re confident you’ll enjoy walks here all year round.

Information including a map of the meadows and photographs of some of the wildlife you might encounter here including Skylark, Tawny Owl, Common Blue butterfly, Field Mice and Great Spotted Woodpecker.

For those looking for a longer walk, wellies are recommended if it’s been wet, but it’s an easy stroll via Warfield Church and Malt Hill to Windmill Meadows (see route). You can also pick up Bracknell Forest’s Ramblers Route. This 26 mile/41.8km waymarked walk, starting from The Look Out Discovery Centre on Nine Mile Ride, passes right through. You can join section 3 on its way from Easthampstead Park to Warfield Church. More information and a leaflet is available from The Look Out.

Notes for dog walkers: There are poo bins close to the car park. Skylarks are nesting on the ground from April to August and we’re asked to keep to the footpaths, with dogs under close control, during this time. You may find it useful to know that cattle may be grazing on the southern area from spring through to late summer. There’s limited shade in hot weather, but there are three ponds for a cooling drink.
