Where you’ll find it…
Find the free car park on the A331, Camberley, opposite the Watchmoor Business Park, nearest postcode GU15 3YH. Grid reference SU 86057 59133.
What you’ll find there…
This traditional floodplain meadow is a lovely place, especially on a warm summer’s day, when masses of dragonflies will be darting about. The car park lies roughly in the centre of this green stretch of river bank, so make the most of your walk by following the River Blackwater south, as far as the M3 flyover; and then all the way up to the north, following the route of the railway, through a gate into wooded Blackwater Park, just off Admiralty Way. This is the waymarked Blackwater Valley Path of course, so if you keep going north, you’ll come to another of our entries, Shepherd Meadows, just across the London Road.
Fishermen should contact Hartley Wintney Angling Society, as fishing is for members.
