Heath Week Herbivores

FREE: MEET THE LIVESTOCK!

Meet Wardens Rupert, Tim & Ben to discover the history and benefits of grazing the heaths with cattle, goats, ponies & sheep. There’ll be free half hour guided walks to meet any livestock currently grazing and discuss how the animals benefit the heathland habitat.

Mini-guided walks will leave the car park at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. Short walks of approx half an hour in small groups.

FIND US: We’ll be set up near Salt Box Road Car Park at Whitmoor Common. See map.

FREE. Suitable for all, especially families with school age children. Drop-in anytime between 11am and 2pm. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.

NO BOOKING REQUIRED!

Please note that Thames Basin Heaths Partnership staff are not permitted to administer first aid due to COVID-19 protocols. Should an emergency arise, we will call the emergency services.
