Heathland History Walk

FREE HISTORY WALK!

A visit to Chobham Common, on a tour steeped in history. 

Join the Chobham Commons Preservation Committee on a free guided walk. See the terrain where the Chobham Common Great Camp was held in 1853 and Queen Victoria reviewed the troops. Visit a possible location for the famed Chobham Treacle Mine and appreciate how the heathland has altered over the last 200 years.

FIND US: The walk will start on Chobham Common, Chobham, Surrey GU24. Exact meeting point confirmed on booking. Free parking available.

FREE, but donations to the Chobham Commons Preservation Committee welcome. Suitable for all ages and anyone able to negotiate heathland paths and tackle a reasonably steep descent and ascent. Not suitable for pushchairs or mobility scooters. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
