Heathland Hounds Public Waggy Walk

5th February @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Heather Farm to Horsell Common

Friday 5th February 2026 1pm – 2:30pm (depending on pace of the group).

Ground-nesting bird season is just around the corner. In fact, Woodlark may have already begun to sing!

We will start our walk at Heather Farm, one of the eighty plus Greenspace On Your Doorsteps across the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area (TBH SPA).

We will finish by exploring Horsell Common, one of the heathland Special Protection Areas.

These heathland areas support three ground-nesting birds as well as lots of other wildlife.

We will be chatting about wildlife-friendly walks with your dog and learning how we can all protect the heaths.

This circular walk is about 4 miles / 6.2km long and it will take about two hours at a relaxed pace, allowing our dogs plenty of opportunities to engage with their environment along the way.

This walk is free to attend but places are limited so please be sure to book. Eventbrite booking link to follow here.

Important note about dog walking equipment: For the safety and well-being of everyone, we do not permit the use of prong collars, shock collars (e-collars), choke chains, or any other aversive tools during our walks.
