CANCELLED – Herd on the Heath

28th July 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

MEET THE CATTLE CANCELLED!

Surrey Wildlife Trust deliver conservation grazing across Surrey and beyond with their herd of over 500 Belted Galloway cattle, 160 red deer on Pirbright Ranges, 18 goats on Esher Common and a flock of rare breed Hill Radnor sheep grazing at several chalk grasslands.

Join Ben Habgood, Conservation Manager for the Surrey Wildlife Trust, and Rupert Millican, Thames Basin Heaths Partnership Warden, on a guided walk around the Folly Bog on Brentmoor Heath. They’ll be highlighting the importance of this incredibly rare habitat and the wildlife that lives here. You’ll get the opportunity to meet the Belted Galloway cattle, and if we’re really lucky, we may even spot the red deer grazing neighbouring Pirbright Ranges!

Suitable for children and adults. Dogs on leads welcome.

Booking will be via the Surrey Wildlife Trust website.

Sometimes circumstances beyond our control mean that last minute changes have to be made. Please check this website for the latest details before attending any of our Heath Week events.
