What you’ll find there…
Ash Green Meadows are well worth seeking out! There’s a huge area of meadow, the perfect place for a bit of peace and quiet, complete with boardwalk and a pond that dogs love to dip in.
From the car park, cross the disused railway line, now a surfaced footpath, and take the path signposted “Ash Green Meadows”. Follow this path for approx. 200m and you will come to a metal gate leading into the meadows at What3Words: piles.dish.slam. There are numerous entry points on both sides of this path, but this is the nearest one to the car park.
If you’d like a longer walk, it’s easy to link this walk with Runfold Ridge, via the Christmas Pie Trail. It’s not well signposted, but it’s easy to find and there’s a pedestrian crossing to take you safely across the busy junction with the A31.See link…
Note: A fenced pond has notices that say DANGER Deep Water No Swimming. This pond is for dog use only.
