What you’ll find there…

An attractive and varied woodland walk, with a signposted trail to help you make the most of your visit. The route passes a particularly lovely pond, skims the boundary of Pine Ridge Golf Club and is surprisingly hilly in places!

If you’re wondering about the name, the history of the allotments dates back to the 1800s. The parish designated this place for the poor to collect fire wood, by way of compensation for losing common land enclosed under the Enclosures Act. There’s more information about the history and the charity that still owns the woodlands today, on the Frimley Fuel Allotments website. Today it’s a peaceful woodland walk, open to all.

It’s possible to link this walk with St. Catherine’s Road by exploring the network of paths that extend across Frith Hill. Try this route starting at a parking layby on Old Bisley Road.

NOTE: We found it best to bear left at point 7 on the signposted route to get to point 8. Points 13 & 14 are at the top of the hill and can be skipped if you don’t fancy the climb.
