What you’ll find there…

Tranquil meadows nestled in rolling countryside, enjoying views to the Surrey Hills.

When we visited for the first time, we were truly taken with the place. It’s lovely and quiet, and the views are wonderful. There’s loads of potential for wildlife and Surrey Wildlife Trust are managing it with that in mind. When we first visited in May 2021, large areas had been ploughed and sown with wildflower seed (as seen in photos), and everytime we go back it just gets better and better.

The land was formerly agricultural fields that came out of arable production in 2016. With mown footpaths, picnic tables, benches and a dedicated car park, it’s sure to become a new favourite. There’s more information on the Land Trust’s website.

N.B. Some areas will be wet underfoot in winter, but there’s a choice of paths. Also, we’ve noticed the car park can be full when the neighbouring football club is busy.
