Entrance to Franklands Park

An entrance to Franklands Park

* July 2021: We’ve had a report that this walk is falling into disrepair, with paths overgrown and a lot of dog mess. We’re trying to contact the management team.

The walk is a pleasant stroll through woodland and meadow parkland, winding its way around the perimeter of the Franklands Park housing development. Near the Wycliffe Avenue entrance, you’ll find a well equipped play area, complete with zip wire and adventure climbing frame. There’s also a range of outdoor fitness equipment, laid out around a surfaced track.

If starting your walk on Strawberry Fields, you’ll pick up the walking route, marked with arrows, if you enter through the offset metal barriers (pictured), opposite Kemble Avenue.
