Where you’ll find it…
The pedestrian entrance for this short wooded walk is on Strawberry Fields, Addlestone, nearest postcode KT15 1EH. Grid reference TQ 03965 63399. There’s no dedicated car park here, but on-street parking is possible on Strawberry Fields and nearby residential roads. And, of course, this walk is absolutely perfect for anyone who lives in Franklands park, or there abouts.
What you’ll find there…
The marked circular footpath has entrances on both sides of Strawberry Fields, but is not particularly obvious. When coming from Franklands Drive, towards the new houses, the entrance on the left is the best one to use, opposite Kemble Avenue, through offset metal barriers (pictured). You’ll pick up the walking route marked with arrows in this direction.
The walk is a pleasant stroll through woodland and meadow parkland, winding its way around the perimeter of the Franklands Park housing development. About three quarters of the way round you’ll come to a well equipped play area, complete with zip wire and adventure climbing frame. There’s also a range of outdoor fitness equipment, laid out around a surfaced track.
