What you’ll find there…
This former golf course is now a landscaped greenspace, complete with dedicated car park, plenty of poo bins, poo bag dispensers and a lovely dog-friendly pond. 2.3km mown route and areas for nature including wildflower meadows. The fenced newt ponds have already attracted a population of Great Crested Newts, the largest and least common native newt species!
Look out for the new community orchard.
Can be a little wet in places, so wellies might be a good move in winter.
UPDATE: As of August 2023, the Esso pipeline works that are still in progress are not impinging on the walk and look to be nearing completion.
